Schedule people—not just telescopes
Coordinate reservations, training eligibility, usage policies, maintenance, notifications, and accountable access across every MAS observatory. StarNest remains the enclosure, power, and local-safety authority.
Session lifecycle: members choose durations in one-hour increments up to eight hours. Approval reserves the telescope and time, but the local StarNest controller still performs the final weather, power, enclosure, and sensor checks.

StarNest coordinates enclosure motion, facility power, weather safety, permissions, and session timing. SkyMapper, Unistellar, Seestar, NINA, and other telescope applications remain the observing interface. A session handoff is enabled only after StarNest reports a safe, open, powered facility.
